Statement by Clark Jolley on President Obama's Budget

Campaign Release

State Senator Clark Jolley, candidate for Congress in Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District, released the following statement on the proposed budget released by President Obama today.

"Today, President Obama released his proposed budget – a $3.9 trillion dollar “tax and spend” document that is nothing more than the failed programs he’s been advocating for years. This budget raises taxes and does nothing to control spending – especially for entitlement programs. As Congressman Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee said, it’s “not a serious document; it’s a campaign brochure.”

Working families across Oklahoma and America deserve better. In Congress, I will fight to stop the “Tax and Spend" policies of the Obama Administration that continue to add to our nation’s debt and undermines the future of our children and grandchildren. And, I will adamantly oppose any legislation that puts our financial stability further at risk."
