Campaign Release

Oklahoma City, OK — Today Sen. Clark Jolley discussed his Economic Growth and Jobs Plan with small businesses and voters as he campaigned in neighborhoods and door-to-door in Oklahoma City. The Jolley plan lays out seven key areas in which conservative, pro-market reforms are necessary to achieve the economic growth that will create jobs and lasting prosperity.

“I am running for Congress because I am so disturbed by the track President Obama and Democrats in Congress have put this country on. I believe we have a limited window of opportunity to return to fiscal responsibility and spur the economic growth we desperately need. We used to speak of our economic future in the long term and worry about our grandchildren. That train has left the station, I’m worried about my children. It is immoral to give our children an uncertain future shadowed by ballooning debt, a devalued dollar, ever-expanding government and an economy crippled by high taxes and burdensome regulations,“ said Jolley.

"Please go to my website and read about the seven principles I lay out, like:

• Controlling Spending and Living within our Means
• Energy Independence
• Adopting Common Sense Health Care Solutions
• Cutting Taxes and Reforming the Tax Code
• Stop the Overreach of Washington Regulations
• Increase Exports to Create More American Jobs
• Building a Competitive Workforce

“There’s a lot of work to be done, and some of these reforms won’t be popular with the establishment. I don’t care, I’m not afraid to make tough choices and my legislative record demonstrates that. I hope the people of the Fifth District send me to Washington to fight for these critical reforms, because the cost of not fighting is just too high. The status quo cannot continue, it is unsustainable, and we need to change course.

“Please visit with me tonight at the Oklahoma City GOP Women’s Club forum or stop me the next time you see me out on the campaign trail. I want to answer your questions about the plan and talk about how we can get our great country back on the right track, “ Jolley concluded.
